Ecology is very close to my heart, which is why I’m always very eager to engage in various actions dedicated to saving biota and wildlife. I’m very glad to announce that I’ll soon have the pleasure to lecture at Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego at Poznań, where I’ll be showing one of the episodes of “The Map of a disappearing world”, a documental series hosted by me. Together with the film crew we went to Kenia, Vietnam, Madagaskar and Sri Lanka to search for unique plants and animals, whose endangerment is the result of overexploitation. It turns out every one of us (what we’re often unaware of), can contribute to the extinction of whole ecosystems. At Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego I’ll be showing an episode which we recorded in Vietnam. It’s dedicated to Vietnamese moon bears – animals who go through plenty of suffering, because their livers and are believed to be an unique cure in traditional Chinese medicine.
The lecture, screening and discussion will be held in the AWF aula (main building) on Thursday the 23th of March at 4pm.
